Space X Falcon Heavy launch was a big deal for the future of Space X and the future of private space enterprise. While the launch is smaller than NASA’s Saturn V rocket, it is the largest rocket today. Space X was able to save two of the three boosters, showing that space exploration can cost a considerable amount less.

Space X also put into orbit Space Man flying a Tesla Roadster.

9. Red Bull Space Jump

8. Space X Vertical Booster Landing

Space X first vertical booster landing on land and on sea were definitely inspiring. This is leading the way to reducing the cost of space travel and private space flight.

7. Hubble Space Telescope

The Hubble telescope is the largest and most versatile. It was designed to be serviced in space. It has led to many breakthroughs in astrophysics.

6.  Apollo 13

There have been many accidents during the exploration of space. Apollo 13 is inspiring. Despite a list of critical issues, the team was able to make repairs and return safely to earth.

5. Mars Rover Landing

There have been four successful Mars rovers. These rovers have been able explore the surface of mars and send information back.

4. International Space Station

The International space station is a research lab in space. It gives scientist the ability to do research that would be otherwise impossible.

3. Sputnik

The Russian Sputnik both inspired space exploration and terrified much of the world. It is highly significant because it is marked as the beginning of the space race.
