December 28, 2017

It’s the Christmas season, so of course it’s time to shop. However, for many people, it doesn’t really matter what time of year it is. It’s always a good time to go shopping.  For some, shopping is more than just buying new products; it’s a complete experience. So, if you want to make your next shopping venture a memorable experience, your local mall isn’t going to cut it. You need to head to the some of the best places to shop in the world. These cities offer an amazing shopping experience that you won’t soon forget.

Tokyo – The Shinjuku neighborhood in Tokyo is one of the city’s best places to shop.  This famous shopping district is complete with shopping malls, department stores, skyscrapers, and of course electronics megastores. You will feel a lot of energy here, which you will need, in order to endure your long day of store hopping.

New York City – Everyone knows New York City is one of the most exciting places in the world to lay down a few shopping dollars. You can start by heading to Fifth Avenue, which is synonymous with luxury. The storied avenue includes famous classics like Tiffany’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, FAO Schwarz, and Bergdorf Goodman. In addition to the classics, Fifth Avenue also keeps up with the latest trends. For example, you can also find a 24-hour flagship Apple store there.

Milan - With many of the top fashion names in the world, including Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Versace calling the city home, it's no wonder Milan is full of glamorous locals and all the shops that cater to them. You can find one of the most amazing shopping experiences in the world here at Quadrilatero della Moda or Quadrilatero d'Oro ('rectangle of gold'). If you’re into fashion then this is a must-see, as many fashion insiders consider it to be the world's most important fashion district.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Dubai has pretty much every luxury you can imagine, and the Dubai Mall is almost a city by itself. In fact, this mall is the world's largest in total area. If you’re looking for an experience, this is your destination. It includes an Olympic-sized ice rink, theme parks, "dancing" fountains, a waterfall, an aquarium, indoor souk and malls within the mall. If you want something else, then head to the Mall of the Emirates, which has the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East.

Moscow – This city might come as surprise to many, but Moscow is actually a fashion mecca that is home to expensive boutiques that offer both glamorous and gaudy products. Of course, you can find vintage Soviet clothing in the city, but you will also find everything else including haute couture.

Los Angeles – The City of Angels is famous for a lot of things, and shopping is one of them. For starters, head to Rodeo Drive, where you will find probably the most expensive 3 blocks of shopping in the entire world. This stretch of shops includes stores like Coco Chanel, Cartier and Yves Saint Laurent.  Even if you can’t afford to buy anything, you could still spend a fun afternoon window shopping and looking for celebrities.
